With the launching of We’ve Got Worm as its own separate podcast next week, we found ourselves suddenly in a bit of a problem situation. We don’t have a cover image for iTunes or a profile picture for Twitter! Disaster! To compound the problem, neither Matt nor I can draw at all. One time I was drawing a picture with my 6-year-old niece and my dad walked by, looked at the picture and chastised her on the sloppiness of my drawing. I’m 31.
So, rather than go out and commission one ourselves we thought it would be more fun to turn to you, our loyal listeners, for help. In the two months that we’ve been doing this podcast we have seen so many amazing pieces of fanart from you guys (so much so that we try to highlight a new piece every week), so we know there are some pretty amazing artists out there! Would you guys be willing to design a cool Logo/Image for us?
If you’re interested in helping out, here are the requirements:
- The Image must be square and at least 1400×1400 to a maximum size of 3000×3000. iTunes requires this or they will reject it like Brian to Taylor’s sexual advances.
- The image must include the words “We’ve Got Worm” In big enough letters that it can be seen in a small thumbnail.
That’s it! Everything else is up to you guys. Get as creative as you want! Put a worm in there. Put Taylor in there. Put Taylor eating a worm in there while riding a giant worm that’s eating another worm. Ok maybe don’t do that last one, let’s keep it pretty simple.
You can submit your ideas to gotwormpod@gmail.com with the subject line “We’ve Got Worm Cover Image” Please include your name and a link to and of your other work online so we can give you, like, crazy amounts of credit. We can’t give you any money, though. We’re broke. Matt spent the last of our cash on a book light so he could read Worm in the dark before bed. I know, tablet/computer screens are backlit now, so that doesn’t make any sense. I told him too.
